The Artist Group
The Artists Group is comprised of artists from the Myrtle Beach area, many of whom are, or have been, associated with other art organizations on the Grand Strand. Our group decided to pool our resources in order to showcase our talents beyond the Myrtle Beach area, and so, The Artists Group was formed!
We represent a variety of styles of art that include works in watercolor, acrylic, oil, batik, mixed media and photography. Our work may be presented on paper, Yupo (a kind of plastic paper), canvas, silk or many types cloth, or even on found objects, such as seashells, or old wood or boards. We paint and photograph many types of subject matter, including our local scenery, the low-country; water, boats, barns, still-lifes, people, all types of landscapes, seascapes, animals, abstracts and more! You may find members of The Artists Group working indoors with a live model, or with a still life setup, or outdoors with the whole world in front of us! We may even use our computers as a tool, especially in conjunction with our photographic skills!
